On this channel, we've told the story of 101st Airborne medics Bob Wright and Kenneth Moore who set up an aid station in the village of Angoville au Plain on D-Day. True it was not war, it was calculated murder. The death sentence of Kurt Meyer the German Commander, should not have been commuted to life sentence let alone to only serving nine years for the war crimes he committed.

I've never been to Hautecourt, but I've been to Neuville-St.-Vaast (Maison Blanche); it's huge. As to the built-up look about the place, I'm thinking that it wasn't built up when they founded this cemetery. Devlopment happens all over this part of Europe and land usage is a necessity for economic growth. I'd recommend that people visit while they can. The Jewish gunner's headstone looks like it was placed in April of 1990, so yeah, I think that it was replaced.

I'm so happy that this channel exists and that you guys were in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy invasion and that you and Eric were there with those 4 veterans. I'm in total awe of that generation because of what they did for our country. My maternal grandfather was in the U.S. Navy during WW2 and was stationed in Australia. That aside, I met one of the Tuskegee Airmen my junior year of high school when he came to speak to all of the American History classes at my high school to tell his story. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now I'm grateful I heard his story because I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time in class just totally in awe of what he had done to keep our country safe. I know that this man went through a lot, but I'm still grateful for the fact that there are people like him who fought against the Nazis to help the Allied Forces win WW2. Thanks for posting this video and all of the others as well!! I hope all is well with the GMOH annex and everything that's needed to get it up and running so that it can be 100% open to the public!!

I visited Dachau. There is a room connected to the room with the ovens....I kid you not, has this horrible energy in it, like a weight sitting on my head, sadness, and heavy. It was so so creepy to me. I'm so glad I was able to visit there though, because it was incredibly eye opening for a foreigner American, where none of the Holocaust happened on our soil.

Yesterday I had the honor and privilege to meet WW2 82nd Airborne veteran Sgt. George Cross who is 99 years young. He goes to the same bar everyday and that’s where I talked to him. He told me stories about how he parachuted into Normandy on D’day, slit a sleeping Germans throat, fought in the battle of the Bulge, and was fortunate to not receive one scratch on him during the war. I will never forget talking to him. Thank you veterans for your service and love of country those 80 years ago! Also great video!

Please don't fall for the trap of having someone there only because of the perceived but faulty name factor. He knows tactics but so do gamers.. so even if that was their tour etc and you went along I'd suggest not including name factor people. They're there anyway dragging those folks around teaching them about something they are no expert on.. They're cashing in on their name. That's all they have left to sell so they're selling themselves. Go find a battlefield trust tour or the like. Somebody you've never heard of but knows their stuff. If you wish for feedback then here's mine.. take it as you will.

By June 1944, Canadian junior officers were being transferred to British units to make up shortages due to the heavy losses required of junior leaders in the boucage and urban fighting. There's another interesting story here. In the 1940 Campaign men of the Totenkopf Division engaged in a number of murders of captured Canadian POWs. The Canadians didn't forgive and didn't forget and they ended up with the fewest SS prisoners in relation to engaged forces of the Allies in Normandy, even lower than the Poles.

The irony of WW2, the combat, fighting, attempt to destroy other cultures and peoples is how the UK and France are on pace to become majority Muslim countries and by default become Islamic nations by 2060 based on current/changing demographics and birthrates. One wonders how the millions who died fighting for Western civilization would feel about this ?

I don't think most Americans realize just how challenging it would've been for a regular German citizen to attempt assassinating Adolf Hitler during this time. This was a nation in which personal firearms were illegal. A state where *all potential war making materials,* such as dynamite and gunpowder, were being marshalled and hoarded for the military as part of the war effort. Like, you couldn't just cobble together primitive explosive materials from a trip to the hardware store, or the feed & grain market, the way you can now in the US during 1930s-40s Germany. It simply wasn't that easy. You also didn't have an internet in existence yet to search for a 'how-to manual' for creating a homemade bomb either. Seriously, just crafting an explosive device to use on Adolf Hitler during Nazi Germany would've been a remarkable feat of civilian engineering in and of itself! (And that doesn't even include the crippling fear they would've had to overcome with the oppressive Gestapo & SD constantly looking over everyone's shoulders)
